It has been confirmed by creator Gosho Aoyama that Detective Conan won't have main characters' deaths except Heiji's father because it is a mystery manga with a young boy as the main character, not a horror or seinen manga. Conan's parents and Ran's parents' deaths have already took place at the beginning of the story. Thus it is most likely unlikely to have main characters' deaths from now on.
