* Otto Frank (1889-1980): Anne's father, a businessman.
* Edith Frank-Holländer (1891-1945): Anne's mother.
* Margot Frank (1926-1945): Anne's older sister.
These four lived in hiding together in the Secret Annex during World War II.
It is important to note that Anne's family was not alone in hiding. They were joined by four other people:
* Hermann van Pels (1898-1944): A business associate of Otto Frank.
* Auguste van Pels (1900-1945): Hermann's wife.
* Peter van Pels (1926-1945): Hermann and Auguste's son.
* Fritz Pfeffer (1889-1944): A family friend and dentist.
These eight people were all tragically killed during the Holocaust, except for Otto Frank, who survived and later published Anne's diary.
