Can you trade Pokemon Eggs in games?

In Pokemon games, it is generally possible to trade Pokemon Eggs with other players. However, there are some restrictions and conditions that apply to this. Here's information about trading Pokemon Eggs in different Pokemon games:

1. Generation I - III (Red/Blue/Yellow, Gold/Silver/Crystal, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald):

- In these generations, it was not possible to trade Pokemon Eggs directly with another player.

- Instead, players had to hatch the Eggs and then trade the hatched Pokemon.

2. Generation IV - V (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, HeartGold/SoulSilver, Black/White, Black 2/White 2):

- Introduced the ability to directly trade Pokemon Eggs with another player.

- However, only Eggs obtained through in-game means (such as breeding or receiving from NPCs) could be traded.

- Eggs received through Wonder Trade or GTS could not be traded further.

3. Generation VI - VII (X/Y, Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, Sun/Moon, Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon):

- Continued to allow direct trading of Pokemon Eggs.

- Removed the restrictions on trading Eggs received through Wonder Trade or GTS, allowing players to trade any Eggs obtained in the game.

4. Generation VIII (Sword/Shield):

- Maintains the ability to directly trade Pokemon Eggs with other players.

- Introduces the concept of "Surprise Trades," which allows players to trade random Eggs with other players over the internet.

It's worth noting that while Pokemon Eggs can be traded between games of the same generation, they cannot be traded between different generations of Pokemon games. For example, an Egg obtained in Pokemon Sword/Shield cannot be traded to a Pokemon game from a previous generation like Pokemon X/Y.

Additionally, some Pokemon, such as Event Pokemon or Mythical Pokemon, may have restrictions on trading Eggs or being traded themselves. It's always a good idea to check the specific details and restrictions related to trading Pokemon Eggs within each game.
