Who invented the IMAX widescreen?

IMAX (short for Image Maximum) was developed in the early 1970s by Graeme Ferguson, Roman Kroitor, Robert Kerr, as well as other filmmakers and engineers associated with the Canadian corporation Multiscreen Corporation (now known as IMAX Corporation).
