Open up a word processing program on the computer. In the new document, choose a font that is easy to read, professional looking and clean. Make sure the settings are set to black ink. Don't use any other color. At the top of the resume type the child's name. You want this to be big and bold. It will be the largest font on the page.
Type the child's union affiliations directly below their name. These should be significantly smaller than the name but still stand out. If they have no union affiliations skip a line and continue to the next part. Underneath the union affiliations leave a blank line. On the next line type the child's birthday in a numerical fashion such as 7-15-92. All of this information should be centered on the page.
Skip another line and paste the child's agent and/or manager logos. If the contact number is not on the logo then type it directly beneath the image. If you have two logos make them line up side by side and resize them to make them appear even and equal. Skip another line or two. In a two-column fashion type the child's hair color, eye color, height and weight. These items are needed for casting purposes so be sure to include them. You will just have to update them frequently as the child grows.
Skip down two more lines. On the left side of the page type "Film/TV." Below it you will fill in any television or film credits the child has in the following manner: Name of television show/movie, role, production company/director. You want the name, role and production to be in three separate columns. If the child has no tv or film credits do not list "Film/TV."
Skip a line. Now on the left side type "Commercial." Fill in the commercial information just like the film/TV credits except for role fill in either principal, speaking, extras or spokesperson depending on your role in the commercial. Skip a line. Repeat for "Print." This is all modeling work you have done.
Skip a line. Repeat Step 5 for "Voice Over." This is obviously all your voice over work.
Skip another line. Type "Education" on the left side. Fill in the child's current school and other schools attended. Skip a line and type "Training." Underneath type all the classes the child has taken (dance, acting, singing). Make sure to include the instructor's name, name of the institution or facility and number of years of training there. Skip one more line. Type "Special Skills." List all the child's special skills that they are moderately good at to pro level. These are all possible things a casting director or producer might ask them to do so don't lie.
