Are the dead bodys on CSI real?

The dead bodies on the television show "CSI" (Crime Scene Investigation) are not real. They are actors or stunt performers made up to look like dead people. Real dead bodies are not allowed to be used on television shows unless the person has given permission before their death or their next of kin has given permission after their death.
