Earbuds That Don't Tangle

Earbuds are small speakers that can be inserted into ears to listen music. Although sometimes referred to as headphones, earbuds differ in that they are smaller and fit directly into the ear. While earbuds are often used by people in transit, whether during a workout or on a commute, the cords can easily tangle. However, several companies make tangle-free cords that can simplify your listening experience.
  1. Maxell Crystal

    • Maxell makes the Maxell Crystal Ear Buds in pink and blue. The 3.5 mm stereo earbuds feature an anti-tangle cord slider which slides up and down the four foot long cord to help to reduce tangling. The product is made with "genuine crystallized Swarovski elements." It also contains three different sized silicone ear tips that are interchangeable. The earbuds are $19.99 as of October 2010.

    GrandMax Music Band-It

    • GrandMax produces the GrandMax Music Band-it. This product is a "pair of retractable ear buds and a neoprene iPod pocket that attaches to a backpack strap," according to Gearlog. The company has patented the retractable ear bud, which they claim "eliminates cable mess." The earbuds are $29.99 as of October 2010.

    Chozin Earlace Earbuds

    • Chozin, an independent designer, makes Earlace Earbuds in a variety of colors. The earbud cords, made by an engineer are laced with fabric so that they are hard to tangle. Chozin claims the 3.5 mm stereo Earlace Earbuds are tangle-free and work with "MP3 players, CD players, computers, portable DVD players and other 3.5mm earphone jack compatible devices." The Earlace Earbuds are $18 as of October 2010.
