Richman's single biggest challenge of the first season was at The Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. He had to eat the 72 oz. steak, a large baked potato, a dinner salad, a dinner roll, and an order of shrimp cocktail in an hour. To round out season one, Richman tasted success again with a 4 lb sandwich at Lucky's in Chicago and 15 dozen oysters at Acme Oyster House in New Orleans.
In the second episode, Richman was met with a 7 1/2 lb hamburger challenge at Big Foot Lodge in Memphis, Tennessee. He tried his hardest, but was not able to do it. He was also unable to complete the 11 lb. Carnivore Pizza Challenge at Big Pie in the Sky in Kennesaw, Georgia, The Southwestern Exposure Challenge of a 5 lb. omelet at Beth's Cafe in Seattle, Washington, and the half-hour 120 oz. milkshake challenge at The Crown Candy Kitchen in St. Louis, Missouri.
The second season started with a success at Chunky's Burgers in San Antonio, Texas. Richman ate the 1/2 lb. "Four Horsemen" burger was loaded with four different hot chilies on it, including the "ghost" chili deemed the hottest chili in the world. At Tio's Mexican Cafe in Ann Arbor, Michigan he ate 5 lbs. of nachos. He was also able to complete the Kitchen Sink Challenge at San Francisco Creamery in Walnut Creek, California. The challenge called for Richman to eat a 2-gallon sundae in under an hour.
Richman went to the Nascar Cafe in Las Vegas, Nevada but couldn't finish its challenge of a 2-foot, 6 lb. burrito. He also tried the 7 lb. pasta challenge at Mick & Angelo's Eatery & Bar in Niagara Falls, New York. That included spaghetti, grilled sausage, lasagna, chicken Parmesan, cheese manicotti, cannelloni, garlic bread, vegetable soup and an apple crisp. It was too much for Richman. In Honolulu, Hawaii, Richman was unable to finish the 4 lb, 90 minute pancake challenge at MAC 24-7 at Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio.
