How to Write a Letter to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is an emotional reality show that gives deserving families a new start in life. Ty Pennington and his team of designers and workers take seven days to rebuild and in some cases, knock down and build a new home. The families go on vacation during this process, usually to Disneyland. Many volunteers unite to help build, including contractors who sometimes pay for the complete process and the remaining mortgage. If you would like to contact the show, it's easy to write a letter to "Extreme Makeover: Home Editiion."

     Download the application on the show's website to be considered as a contestant.

     Fill out the 18-page questionnaire and submit the completed application.

     Make a video of your family's current situation and the reasons to be on "Extreme Makeover." A family can also be nominated by friends, family or neighbors. Add photos of the family as well as the home to be renovated with the application.
