Places to Watch Movies on the Internet

Technology has made it easy for people to watch movies on the Internet by instantly streaming content via computers and Internet-ready technological devices. The benefits of watching online movies include viewing movies any time of the day and avoiding the time it takes to drive to a movie rental store. While several websites provide movies to the public free of charge, others require memberships and subscription fees. Some websites cater to a specific movie-viewing population.

Customers also watch movies on regular television with DVRs and video game consoles such as Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360. When DVRs and gaming consoles are connected to the home's Internet provider, Netflix provides an activation code to start watching movies through gaming devices. Hulu Plus is a paid subscription option that increases the amount of content members can watch as well as the Internet-compatible devices that stream movies. Internet-ready devices include Apple iPhones and iPads, Android phones, Internet televisions, Sony PS3, WD TV media players and TiVo Premiere.
