Check each site for the format of it its videos. The videos must be compatible with the player (RealPlayer, Windows, etc.) on your computer. Also, check the site for its policies regarding burning the movie to a DVD, and if it requires you to download its own video player.
Test the system to see if it can play the sample video that the site provides. Examine the video quality to see if it's worth the money.
If the site has a free trial period, take advantage of it before you pay anything.
Search the site for a movie you want to see. Most of them, like Video on Demand, have a search box on the main page.
Click on the "Rent," "Buy" or "Watch now" button. Depending on the site, it might take a few minutes for the video to download, or it might begin playing immediately.
If you have to save the video file on your computer, choose a location when prompted and press "Save."
Locate the video file in your computer and click on it, or open the video player on the site. Press play to run the film.
