Navigate to Indie Movies Online. Select the "Free Movies" menu option. Select a category of interest, then click on a movie that strikes your fancy, and start watching. As the title implies, this site specializes in independent movies, but that doesn't mean they're made in a garage. These are professionally produced — and often award-winning — independent studio productions.
Point your browser to Crackle's website. Click on "Movies." Select the film of interest to play it. Crackle features many major studio productions, but they're several years beyond their original release. They also have a variety of less-heavily marketed films.
Visit Viewster.com. Click on the selection box for "Free Movies" and select a free film of interest. Click and start watching. These films are the ones that may have made the rounds of the art house theaters last year.
Go to YouTube. Click on the "Movies" option at the top of the screen. Scroll down to the "Top Free" selection and click it. Scroll through the selections and pick your movie. With more than a thousand films in the catalog, you can find everything from former box office hits to schlocky horror films.
Go to Hulu and type "movies" into the search field and click "Search." Click in the "Free" checkbox on the right hand side. Select from the available free movies. You'll need to create a free account to view the movies. High-definition versions are available if you purchase a paid subscription. If you want to watch Lifetime Channel movies or the Criterion Collection films, you've found the right place, although there are plenty of other selections here.
Open the Babelgum site and click the "Film" option. Select from over a thousand options. This is the site to visit if you like shorts. Many of the offerings here are quite recent.
