Stop by the visitors center on your first day. Pick up a "Twilight" map. Using the map, take yourself on a self guided tour through town and discover sites and items pertinent to the books. Look for Bella's red 1953 Chevy pickup and have your picture taken in the back of the beat-up truck. Go to the hospital where Edward's dad works, but be sure you don't park in Dr. Cullen's parking place. You'll know it's his by the sign: "Dr. Cullen, Reserved Parking Only." Then drop by the police station where Bella's dad, Charlie works; after that, stop by Bella's house and her high school and have a look around.
Those who don't like to do it themselves can sign up for guided tours at Dazzled by Twilight on North Forks Avenue.
Buy a souvenir. Every business in town has "Twilight" merchandise. You can get "Twilight" candy or flowers. You can buy shirts, coffee and coffee mugs, apple antenna balls, magnets, posters, jewelry, journals, and of course, the book series itself.
The best place for souvenirs is Dazzled by Twilight. Even if you don't want to buy any souvenirs, stop by the place just to pretend you could encounter Edward and his vampire clan. The store is decorated to resemble Volterra, La Push and Forks.
Get a Bella Burger. Hungry? No problem. Forks has it all figured out for you. Restaurants offer foods with the "Twilight" theme in mind. Check out the varied menus before you try a Bella Burger, Bellasagne or Bella Berry smoothie.
Spend the night. Although small, Forks offers overnight accommodations. If you don't like worrying about vampires in your room, you can stay at the Olympic Inn, which advertises: "Edward Cullen did not sleep here." Try the Miller Tree Inn, a bed and breakfast about six blocks off Forks Road; it's labeled as the Cullen house. Hotels have "Twilight" themed rooms with black and red decor and movie posters. To be near the action in town, try the Dew Drop Inn Motel, which is on Forks Avenue, the main street.
Travel to La Push. When you're finished seeing Forks, visit La Push, another small town featured in the series. It is on the Quileute Indian reservation, about 20 minutes from Forks, and is the home of Jacob (friend of Bella) and his werewolf friends. Go to First Beach, where Bella heard about vampires, and take a walk on the sand. Or drop into Jacob's Java and see if Jacob's dad is sitting around sipping a cup of coffee.
Continue to Port Angeles. If you haven't had enough of "Twilight" yet, drive an hour north to Port Angeles. Stop at Bella Italia and dine on mushroom ravioli. Imagine you are Bella on your first date with Edward.
You can find "Twilight" theme hotel packages if you want to spend the night and take the next day to explore the woods in the Olympic National Park. Be prepared for damp, rainy weather.
Join the party. Every year on September 13, Forks throws a birthday party in honor of Stephenie Meyer. Get in on the festivities by taking a tour, attending concerts or dressing up like a "Twilight" cast member for the look-alike contest. Scavenger hunts and cake cutting keep even the most die-hard "Twilight" fans happy.
