Submit your home information to production companies, state film promotion offices, and advertising companies. These organizations compile lists of all possible locations for filming shoots. When production directors scout locations, they acquire these lists and then go about reviewing locations.
Show your home to production assistants who are interested. Since you will have little control over what the needs of film crews will be, you will simply have to wait until interest develops. When production members visit your home, generally, it should be in great condition, suited for filming without need or repair or maintenance.
Negotiate a rate with the production team. The production team will have a budget and a production schedule, but you may be able to maximize the profitability and convenience of the deal for you and your family. If the plan is for a television show or a movie, your commitment might extend for days, weeks, months, or even years.
Clean your home scrupulously in advance of the movie shooting schedule. The production team might stipulate that the home is painted or prepared in advance of the movie shoot, but that should be handled by the company's production assistant.
