How to Download Movies Off the Net

Most video streaming websites only offer movies for free streaming. The option to download the movie is rarely available on these websites. But if you still want to download movies and save them to your hard disk so you could watch them some other time, you will have to use a P2P application that allows you to download movies.

Instructions

      Download and install Frost Wire, Lime Wire or eMule from their websites (see Resources). These are free applications that you can use for downloading movies online.

      Launch the application after it installs.

      Select the tab “Videos” in the search box.

      Enter the movie title in the search field.

      Hit “Enter” key. The application will show you a number of results.

      Double-click any search result. The movie will then start downloading. Depending on your Internet connection and file size, it will probably take a few hours. Generally, a movie’s size varies between 700 megabytes and 1.5 gigabytes.

      Play the movie on your computer’s media player. You can open the downloaded file by going to My Computer > Drive: C > Programs > Frostwire/Limewire/eMule.
