Search nearby thrift stores and secondhand shops for old VHS tapes. Many tapes found in these places are '80s movies and not only do they contain movies, but also previews of other films of the time. You'll need a VHS tape player or VCR to watch the tapes and these can be found at thrift stores and pawn shops. Many of these same films can be found online or on DVD.

Go to your local used entertainment shop where people can buy, sell and trade music, movies and video games. Dig through the old VHS tapes and soundtracks and see what you can find in the realm of 1980s entertainment. You might be surprised by all the old '80s movie gems you find hiding there.

Use the Internet as a source for finding old movies by searching engines like Google and IMDB to find '80s movie lists and guides. You'll find sites such as fast-rewind.com, which tells you the latest Blu-ray releases of 1980s films as well as future releases (see Reference 1). IMDB's guides of the most popular films are listed by year, which will give you the names of more movies than you'll have time to watch (see Reference 2).

Reading movie guides will lead you to old movies. These books contain some of the "best" and "worst" movies ever made or list films by year during the '80s. These can be helpful sources for finding old films. Movie guides can be found in bookstores and online.
