How to Capture Stills From a Movie

Most hardware DVD players do not allow users to capture still frames from a movie. Viewers with computers, however, can capture a still image using digital video software. You can capture stills from a movie using the VLC media player. VLC includes a snapshot feature that allows you to save movie images as .jpeg photos.
