Download Animoids from the the Troy Studios website, and install it on your computer.
Open the program. Click File > New and select Movie Scene from the menu in the dialogue box. Select a movie set from the options. If you select one of the online movie scenes, you will have to download the scene.
Click Alt + left mouse button to move the character back or forward in the depth of the scene. Click the left mouse button to rotate your character, or the right mouse button to move him right or left with in the scene.
Click the "Record" button until it turns red. Click the "Move Animoid" button in the toolbar. Move your character to where you want him to begin his motion. Move the time slider ahead several seconds. Move your character to an intermediate point on the set. Each time you move him, move the time slider forward to the desired point. Repeat these actions until you have completed your character's motions across the screen. Click the "Save" button and give your scene a name.
Click "Reset" to put your character back to the beginning of his motion across the scene. Click "Play." Your character will appear to jump across the screen. This is normal. We will correct this action in the next step.
Click "Reset" again. Click the "Record" button. Select Action > Smooth Object Motion. A box marked "Smooth" will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click the "Smooth" button at the bottom of this section. The beginning and end point of the motion smooth will be marked with a check mark. Click the "Save" button, and then click the "Record" button. Click "Reset," then click "Play." Your character should move gradually across the set you have chosen.
Click "Reset" again. Click the "Record" button. Select the "Behave" button from the toolbar on the left side of the screen. Select the desired motion from the menu. Please note that certain behaviors will only work properly with certain characters. Click "Record" again, and save your work. Click "Play" to preview the motion of your character. Click "Reset" when you are done.
Click "Record" again. Move the time slider to the point where you would like music or sound effects to appear. In the toolbar on the left, click the "Sound" button. Select the desired sound effect or music file from the menu. Save your work. Preview the animation. Note that midi files cannot be attached to an animoid or its motion across a scene. The midi file will be placed in the scene as a background element. If you would like a music file to be attached to your character, be sure to select a .wav or .au file
