Ultraman Vs. Ultraman Tiga

The "Ultra Series" is a Japanese, science fiction television series. Each series uses special effects to depict the battles between the Ultramen and monstrous villains. "Ultraman: A Special Effects Fantasy Series" and "Ultraman: Tiga" both belong to the "Ultra Series."

    • In 1966, the "Ultraman: A Special Effects Fantasy Series"--or simply "Ultraman"-- television series debuted in Japan. The show lasted 39 episodes and featured the original Ultraman character.

    Ultraman: Tiga

    • "Ultraman:Tiga" debuted in 1996, making it the 11th show in the "Ultra Series." This series lasted 52 episodes and featured an Ultraman who could transform into various forms. When released in the U.S., the show was broadcast on Fox 4Kids TV.

    Fun Fact

    • Although the original Ultraman character debuted in "Ultraman: A Special Effects Fantasy Series," the series was the second in the overall collection. "Ultra Q" debuted in 1966, several months before "Ultraman." "Ultra Q" featured ordinary protagonists, as opposed to the Ultraman superhero.
