Draft a copy of your complaint letter in a word processing program. Be sure to be as specific about your complaint as possible, including giving dates, prices and any contact you had with a customer service department. Be concise, but include as much information as possible. Format the letter to include the date you're sending the letter, your address and phone number.
Proofread the letter, or have a friend proofread it for spelling, grammatical and factual errors.
Determine where to send your complaint. Since Time Life and Warner Brothers are both large corporations, it can be difficult to make sure your complaint is heard. Locate the most specific office of customer service that applies to your complaint. For instance, Warner Brothers has different customer service for every branch of their production office.
Print two copies your letter and mail to the appropriate Time Life or Warner Brothers address that you located in Step 3, or copy and paste the complaint online and submit it via an Internet form.
File a copy of your letter with your state consumer affairs office, if you determine that it is necessary. If your complaint involves credit card fraud, discrimination, or you fail to get a response from Time Life or Warner Brothers, you should file with your state consumer affairs office.
