How to Submit Your Music to Warner Brothers

"(Warners Brothers) is the most successful record label in history," according to its website. If you want to be in the same company as artists like John Fogerty, Seal, Miles Davis and the Sex Pistols, you'll need to submit your music to Warner Brothers for consideration. Being the giant record label that it is, Warner Brothers doesn't accept unsolicited materials, so you'll need to make some industry connections to get your foot and demo in the door.

Instructions

    • 1

Establish a presence in the music industry by performing live, releasing music and networking with bands, producers and journalists. In order to gain the interest of a lawyer, manager or other professional who can get your music to Warner Brothers, you'll need to show you have a marketable product.

    • 2

Contact a lawyer, publisher and/or attorney with a background in music business and establish a professional relationship. Negotiate a contract. For example, a lawyer might do the legwork for you in return for a percentage of an advance that Warner Brothers might give you.

    • 3

Prepare a press kit that includes a biography, press clippings, demo CD and other pertinent information relating to your music.

    • 4

Request that your representation submit your press kit to Warner Brothers and arrange a meeting to present your music to an artists and repertoire (A&R) executive there.
