Take higher-level math and science courses such as calculus, geometry and physics, as these courses can help prepare you for the rigorous math and science coursework required in many college tech programs and animatronics operations. Some colleges will require applicants to have achieved overall "B"-average-or-higher GPAs in core academic college-prep coursework and to have posted strong standardized test scores.
Research several community colleges and universities. Look for schools that offer robotic engineering or applied science degrees with specializations in animatronics or similar fields. Some schools do not offer a specific degree in animatronics.
