How to Use TriCaster With Livestream's Webcaster

Livestream is a web-based live-video streaming platform that allows you to broadcast any live-video feed through your Livestream account over the Internet in real-time. TriCaster is a series of video broadcasting devices that allow for the production of high-definition (or standard definition) television programming with a small crew, or even a single person. Through the TriCaster "Live Desktop" application you can broadcast your video feed to your Livestream account in a fairly straightforward manner.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the "Livestream Log-in" webpage, then enter your username and password to log into your account.

    • 2

Double-click the "TriCaster Live Desktop" icon on your computer to launch the application.

    • 3

Click the "New" option to open a new video-streaming session, then enter the name of your session in the "Session Name" entry box.

    • 4

Click the "Stream Configuration" option in the top menu, then enter: "rtmp://publish.livestream.com/mogulus/your_channel/username=your_username/password=your_password/isAutoLive=[true|false] " into the "Location" entry box in the pop-up window.

Replace "your_channel," "your_username" and "your_password" with your actual account name, username and password. Also delete "true" if you want to use your stream in a private session or delete "false" if you want to broadcast your stream live over the Internet.
