Load "Final Cut Pro" and select the clip you wish to polish.
Click on "Effects," select "Video Filters," choose "Color Correction" and click "Corrector 3-Way Filter." This will bring up a set of filters to correct anything that is supposed to be white but shows up differently on the screen.
Double-click on the clip again; this will load it up into the video viewer.
Click on the eyedropper for "black," "white" or "color," whichever you need corrected. Click on the area you want corrected. It will be instantly fixed.
Click on the audiometers and set them to between –12db and –6db. This range is optimal for sound and will help prevent hissing or sound that is too high or low.
Click on the "Video Transparency" feature to fade in and out of scenes. This generally looks more polished than a video just appearing and disappearing.
Use split edits if you are combining two different video files into one. This makes both audio and video transition smoothly in spliced areas. Unlink audio from video temporarily, and click on the timer and roll it back four seconds. Re-link the tracks and the transition will be seamless.
