Movie producers are the people and companies that bankroll or find financing for a movie project so that it can be made into a feature film. Movie producers can be individuals or companies, and several producers can be attached to a single movie. If you want to contact a movie producer, there is a fairly easy way to find their contact information. With the Hollywood Creative Directory, you can get contact details for all of the listed movie producers and production companies in and around Hollywood and the film industry.

      Go to the Writers Store Web site (see Resources). Order the Hollywood Creative Directory. Be sure to get the most current version for up-to-date contact details. It is published in February and September each year.

      Look in the Hollywood Creative Directory for the movie producers you are interested in contacting. You can look them up by the name of the producer or the name of the production company.

      Scan the listings for the types of movies produced by each producer if you do not have a particular producer in mind. For example, if you want to contact only movie producers who do musicals, look for "Musicals” by “Genre” in each listing.

      Use the contact information in the Hollywood Creative Directory to get in touch with the movie producers. Look to see if there is a preferred contact method for each producer. It is acceptable to send an e-mail if the address is listed under contact information.
