Go on Facebook. Many celebrities have set up Facebook accounts to give their fans an opportunity to be informed of their latest activities. If the celebrity you want to get in touch with has a Facebook account, you may be able to leave a message on the person's wall by setting up your own account and requesting he adds you as a friend. Once your request has been accepted, you're able to leave messages on the celebrity's "wall." Try to make the message distinctive so that it stands out and gives you the best chance for the celebrity to respond.
Investigate Twitter. Many celebrities now use Twitter as a way to stay connected to their fans. Find out whether the celebrity has a Twitter account, and if he does, create your own Twitter account. Become one of the celebrity's "followers," and receive real-time updates whenever the celebrity sends tweets. You can then send tweets directly to the celebrity. Though there's no guarantee you will receive a response, many celebrities interact daily with their fans through Twitter.
Check out MySpace. Though it's not as popular as Facebook or Twitter, MySpace is worth checking out to see if the celebrity you want to contact has set up an account. MySpace operates in a similar fashion to Facebook, allowing you to create your own account and request to be friends with the celebrity. After you've been accepted, you can leave comments on the celebrity's page and wait to see if you receive a response.
Research and find the celebrity's publicist. Most celebrities employ publicists who are responsible for setting up things such as personal appearances, charity events and interviews. Many publicists also have a division that responds to requests from fans.
Compose a letter or write an email. Write a letter -- or an email if applicable -- to the celebrity in care of their publicist. Preferably, you should type the letter on a computer, but if that's not possible, make sure your handwriting is legible. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your correspondence to make it convenient for the celebrity to respond. When you send the letter, you can choose certified mail or delivery confirmation to ensure that it can be tracked if something goes wrong.
Be patient. Celebrities receive hundreds of letters every month, and it might take some time before you hear back. If a month has passed since you received confirmation that your letter was received, and you haven't gotten a response, you can send out another letter. If you still don't hear after another two months, then you may want to try one of the other methods of getting in touch with the celebrity.
