How fast does the robin fly?
Robins typically fly at speeds between 15 and 20 miles per hour (24 and 32 kilometers per hour) when in unhurried flight. Robins may fly faster over short distances, but over longer distances, their speed tends to slow down. Some species of robins, such as the American Robin, may fly up to 25–30 mph (40–48 km/h). During migration, some robins have been recorded flying at speeds up to 45 mph (72 km/h) with strong tailwinds.
