What happend to Ponyboy and Johnny when he got jumped?
When Johnny and Ponyboy were attacked by four Socs, Johnny killed one of the attackers, Bob Sheldon, by stabbing him in self-defense. As a result, Johnny and Ponyboy were forced to flee from their homes and go into hiding to escape the police and the angry Socs. This act of self-defense and its consequences became the central conflict of the novel "The Outsiders" and drove much of the story's plot and emotional tension.
