Shanks possesses all three types of Haki:
Haoshoku Haki: Shanks is one of the few people in the world known to possess Haoshoku Haki. This ability allows him to conquer the wills of others and subdue them. Shanks has been shown using Haoshoku Haki to knock out a large group of bandits with just a single glare, as well as to temporarily paralyze Admiral Kizaru.
Busoshoku Haki: Shanks is also proficient in Busoshoku Haki. This ability allows him to infuse his attacks with a greater destructive power. Shanks' Busoshoku Haki is strong enough to clash with Admiral Akainu's magma fists and even injure him.
Kenbunshoku Haki: Shanks has shown the ability to use Kenbunshoku Haki, which grants him heightened senses and the ability to predict an opponent's movements. This ability allowed him to dodge and counter Whitebeard's attack while protecting Luffy.
Swordsmanship
Shanks is considered to be one of the strongest swordsmen in the world. He is able to defeat opponents without even touching them, using only the force of his sword swings. Shanks' swordsmanship is so powerful that he was able to fight on par with Admiral Kizaru and even managed to injure him.
Physical Strength
Shanks possesses immense physical strength. He was able to stop Whitebeard's devastating quake with just one arm. Shanks' strength is also evident in his ability to effortlessly wield Gryphon, a sword that is said to be one of the strongest in the world.
Speed
Shanks is incredibly fast. He was able to save Luffy from Akainu's magma fist at the last moment, despite being a significant distance away. Shanks' speed is also evident in his ability to dodge Kizaru's light-based attacks.
Endurance
Shanks has shown great endurance. Even after losing an arm, he was still able to fight on par with Admiral Kizaru. He also managed to survive being stabbed by Whitebeard's bisento (which was tipped with Busoshoku Haki) and being struck by Akainu's magma fist.
