Pokemon Gold how to get viridian city?

You can't directly go to Viridian City in Pokemon Gold. The route between Pallet Town and Viridian City is blocked by a guard, who won't let you through until you've defeated Brock in Pewter City.

Here's how to get to Viridian City:

1. Start your journey in Pallet Town: Begin your adventure and get your starter Pokemon.

2. Head East to Viridian Forest: Follow the path eastward from Pallet Town to enter Viridian Forest.

3. Go through Viridian Forest: Battle trainers and catch Pokemon as you navigate through the forest.

4. Exit the forest: Follow the path out of the forest and you'll encounter the guard blocking the path to Viridian City.

5. Head North to Pewter City: Instead of trying to get past the guard, head north and continue through the route to Pewter City.

6. Battle Brock: Challenge Brock, the Gym Leader of Pewter City, and defeat him.

7. Return to Viridian City: After defeating Brock, go back to the guard who was blocking your path. He'll step aside, and you'll be able to enter Viridian City!
