      Grasp the pen in your left hand. Keep a firm grip on the pen. Make sure to position your left hand with your palm facing away from the audience.

      Hold onto your left wrist with your right hand. Extend your right index finger toward the palm of your left hand. Do not let the audience see your right index finger.

      Press the pen against your palm with your right index finger.

      Open your left hand slowly and release the pen from your left fingers.

    • 5

      Continue to hold the pen with your right index finger. To your audience, the pen will appear to be floating in air.
