How did Wilbur demonstrate humble in Web?

In the children's book "Charlotte's Web" by E.B. White, Wilbur is a humble pig. He is not at all proud, arrogant, or self-important. He is quite the opposite, actually. He is often shy, timid, and self-effacing.
