In the TCG, Full Heal only removes Special Conditions. These conditions are things like:
* Burn: Prevents the Pokemon from attacking.
* Paralyzed: Prevents the Pokemon from attacking or retreating.
* Poisoned: Deals damage at the end of each turn.
* Asleep: Prevents the Pokemon from attacking.
* Confused: The Pokemon has a 50% chance of hitting itself with its attack.
* Frozen: Prevents the Pokemon from attacking or retreating.
Full Heal does NOT remove damage counters. To remove damage counters, you need to use cards like:
* Heal: Removes damage counters from a Pokemon.
* Energy Retrieval: Allows you to discard your hand to search your deck for a basic energy card. You can then attach this basic energy card to a Pokemon.
* Pokémon Catcher: You can switch a Pokemon you're attacking with a Pokemon on your bench. This allows you to attack with a fresh Pokemon that hasn't taken damage.
The difference between the TCG and the video game is that Full Heal is specifically designed to address the strategic elements of Special Conditions in the card game. Removing damage counters would be too powerful and potentially disrupt the balance of the game.
