In sa2b how do you teach your chao to fly?

In order to teach your chao to fly in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, you must first raise the chao's friendship level at least 10 points by befriending it on the Chao Adventure Stage or using a friendship raising item. Once that has been accomplished, you will need to hold the GBA Chao key or press "Z" on the keyboard while standing in front of a jump panel so that the chao learns to fly.
