You can't get Mudkip in Pokemon Diamond! Mudkip is a water-type starter Pokemon from the Hoenn region, featured in Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald.

If you're looking for a starter in Pokemon Diamond, you have three choices:

* Turtwig: Grass-type starter

* Chimchar: Fire-type starter

* Piplup: Water-type starter

You'll get to choose your starter from Professor Rowan at the beginning of your adventure.
