When Rajah Muda Kiram went to Sabah?
Rajah Muda Kiram, the brother of the self-proclaimed Sultan of Sulu,
led a group of armed men to Lahad Datu, Sabah, in February 2013. This was a highly controversial move, as the Sultanate of Sulu's claim over Sabah had been disputed by the Malaysian government for decades.
The standoff between the Kiram group and Malaysian authorities lasted for several weeks, resulting in violent clashes and the deaths of many people. The incident ultimately failed in its goal of reclaiming Sabah for the Sultanate of Sulu, and the group was eventually expelled.
