In 2019, Trey Songz and Toni Braxton collaborated on the song "Gotta Make It." At the BET Awards, they were performing the song together. At the end of their performances Trey Songz kissed Toni Braxton on the cheek. After the Awards Toni Braxton told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live," that Trey Songz had grabbed her lower backside on stage.
