Purchase and exercise along to a hip hop cardio video such as “Quickfix Cardio Hip-Hop.” These videos feature basic hip hop dance moves, but are primarily meant to help people get in shape.
Buy and study along with a hip hop dance instructional DVD, such as Kelly Peters's “Make It Happen--Hip Hop.” You will learn more advanced dance moves and proper hip hop dance techniques.
Enroll in a hip hop dance class at your local dance studio. Most studios offer classes of different levels, including beginner, intermediate and advanced. Some studios also offer hip hop fusion classes, which is where hip hop is mixed with other styles of dance, such as jazz, modern and tap.
