What does the hip hop group tru mean?

TRU (short for The Real University) is the hip hop name of Tracy Lamar Grier (August 15, 1970 – February 4, 2022), an American Christian hip hop musician from Pensacola, Florida, associated with Christian hip hop labels, Reach Records and Collision Records. His stage name comes from Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding."[citation needed] His cousin is Christian hip hop rapper, T-Bone. They had formed a group TRU-Life during the mid-nineties.[2]
