Singles and couples can ballroom dance at The Ballroom of Sacramento, where the main dance floor has a a French Quarter ambiance. Private lessons, group classes and social dances, where you meet dancers by switching partners, are offered. Some classes must be scheduled, but drop-in classes are also available. The ballroom classes are organized into the bronze class, which is for beginners, and silver level class, for those who have ballroom-dancing experience. A special class includes lessons the six core ballroom dances, which are the waltz, foxtrot, tango, rumba, cha cha, and East Coast swing.
Spotlight Dance & Fitness offers a free half-hour personal consultation and orientation, followed by a free dance lesson. Group classes and private lessons, both of which are 45 minutes long, are offered. The New Beginning Ballroom Series teaches participants swing, foxtrot, cha cha, waltz, rumba and tango. In the Level 2 Beginning Ballroom Series, students learn patterns in two dances each month. Both series are eight weeks long and begin each month. A youth ballroom dance program is offered for 6- to 7-year-olds, 8- to 12-year-olds and 13- to 17-year-olds. In addition, the school offers a teacher training program to become a professional ballroom dance teacher.
Whether you want to take private dance lessons, participate in group lessons of five to 30 students or attend practice dance parties, Dance Studio 18 has a program for you. All styles of dance and at every level are offered. Come alone or bring a partner to the group lesson and attend the practice dance parties, where you can practice what you've learned in a real social dance setting. Dance Studio 18 ballroom showcases feature dinner and drinks, general dancing, performances by students, and professional and live musical performances.
Specializing in adult beginners, Dance Sacramento offers both private dance lessons and group dance lessons in ballroom dances including the foxtrot, waltz, tango and Viennese waltz. Couples and singles of all ages and levels may attend the classes as well as the practice dance parties.
