Stand with feet slightly more than shoulder-width apart. This stance should be comfortable with the feet planted and toes pointed slightly outward. It should not be anything approaching a split.
Clasp hands together in front of chest with elbows bent. To clasp your hands, keep the four fingers together and place them between the thumb and side of the opposite hand. Close the fingers and thumbs on each hand so that it is as if you are holding your own hand.
Straighten elbows while moving clasped hands upward. Do not move hands directly overhead, but rather slightly forward. When done correctly, your arms and head will be straight and you will be able to see your biceps out of the corners of your eyes.
