How to Avoid Long Lines at Las Vegas Nightclubs

Las Vegas is a center of entertainment and exhilarating nightlife. The town caters to celebrities, athletes, singles or almost anyone who is willing to part with their cash to have a great time. Las Vegas nightclubs attract diverse crowds. It is not uncommon for club goers to wait in line an hour or more at a trendy Las Vegas club. You must plan ahead and be prepared to spend more money if you want to avoid long lines at a Las Vegas nightclub.
  1. Reserve a Table

    • One of the most effective ways to avoid long lines at Las Vegas Nightclubs is to reserve a table for the night you want to attend. Most clubs have a concierge or host who can make arrangements for your group. Reservations typically include front of the line admission, a table for your party and possibly a bottle of liquor or champagne. The cost to reserve a table varies, and most nightclubs have group minimums. The reservation costs include admission for each party member. For example, a table reservation for a party of four at Pure Nightclub in Caesar’s Palace on a Thursday night starts at $375. With most clubs, prices increase on Friday and Saturday nights or during special events.

    Call Ahead

    • Most Las Vegas nightclubs have a website with contact information to administrators who work directly for the club. You can also contact club promoters who do not work directly for the establishment but have information on the best days to attend and how to get in with little or no waiting. A few days before your scheduled arrival, contact the club host or promoter by e-mail or phone. Let him know that you are interested in visiting the club along with how many men and women are in your party. He will typically respond with information or suggestions on how to avoid long lines at a particular location.

    Guest List

    • You can avoid long lines at Las Vegas nightclubs by signing up for the club's guest list. Getting on the guest list gives you access to the club without waiting in the general admission line. Some club websites have sign-up sheets that you must complete beforehand. You can purchase VIP line passes from the club's website or from independent vendors around the city. If you contact the club's host, you can inquire about how to get on the guest list and what club privileges this provides.

    Tip the Doorman

    • All nightclubs in Las Vegas have a doorman or bouncer who checks identification and collects the cover charge before you can enter. This individual ultimately decides who to admit into the club. Tipping the doorman an amount more than the cover charge for the club increases the possibility of avoiding waiting in line too long. For example, if general admission is $40, you could give the doorman $100 to avoid waiting in line. Some clubs prohibit this practice so you should ask the doorman or bouncer if tipping is allowed before handing over your money.
