Add pretty rows of ribbon around the bottom of the skirt with removable double-sided tape. The adhesive will hold the accent in place securely, but also allow you to change it without damaging the skirt if your daughter changes her mind. Use ribbon that coordinates with the skirt or try lace, a strip of pretty fabric or beaded trim.
Use small pieces of removable tape or adhesive dots to add ethereal butterflies, flowers or hearts that you've cut out of coordinating toile. You can also use pre-made paper or silk flowers and add glamor by affixing a rhinestone or sequin in the center.
Turn the tutu into a sparkling skirt by adding self-adhesive gems around the bottom, in a random pattern that your daughter helps you create or in a design such as a heart, swirl, butterfly or her first initial.
Give the tutu motion and sound if it's comprised of several strips of tulle netting. Simply pull the end of each strip through the loop at the back of the bell and tie a small knot. Ensure your child is old enough to avoid putting small objects in her mouth in case one of the bells falls off, however.
Pin a cluster of accents to one side of the waistband or all the way around it as a festive touch. Use silk flowers, pretty ribbon ties, fabric shapes or a dazzling metallic bow, for example.
