Study ballet and take classes to learn about the art of ballet dancing and to begin learning ballet yourself.
Practice as often as possible to perfect your ballet dancing. The sooner you start, the more time you have to develop your dancing skills. Continue to practice until you are comfortable with your skills and are able to pass advanced ballet classes.
Find a dance agent. Having an agent will give you opportunities to find paid work as a ballet dancer. Agents have contacts and connections with several professional companies and will refer you to these companies if they believe you are ready to be a professional dancer.
Enroll and compete in competitions, as this will give you more practice, help you to perform for judges and make your name known to agents and other professionals.
Do any volunteer dance work you can find. Even if a performance is not paid, you can add the experience to your resume, and talent scouts may even attend your volunteer performances without your knowledge of their presence.
