What happened in the ducal court about Hermia?

Hermia's father, a very noble and prominent Athenian, Egeus, complains to Theseus, about Demetrius's love for Hermia. Egeus wants Hermia to marry Demetrius, but Hermia loves Lysander, and Lysander loves Hermia. Theseus makes it final for Hermia to either get married to Demetrius, become a nun, or get sentenced to death. Hermia decides to reject her father and take Lysander's hand in marriage, and plans to run away with Lysander that same night to Demetrius's aunt's house in the forest outside Athens.
