Why is my digitech RP90 did not work when I plugged it to your guitar and just made a buzzing noise?

Possible Reason:

1. Guitar cable fault: Firstly check your guitar cable to make sure it is working correctly. Try connecting the same guitar to a different amplifier or connect a different guitar to theRP90.

2. Output level mismatched: Make sure the output level of your guitar is set correctly. Check your guitar's volume knob and ensure that it is not set too high, which can cause distortion.

3. Incorrect cable connection: Ensure your guitar is connected to the input of the RP90 and that the RP90 is plugged into the amplifier correctly.

4. Faulty RP90: If the RP90 is still making a buzzing noise after trying all the above steps, it is possible that the RP90 itself may be faulty. Refer to the RP90's user manual for troubleshooting tips and contact Digitech support if the issue persists.

Additional Troubleshooting Steps:

- Power Supply: Ensure you are using the appropriate power supply for your RP90 and that it is plugged in correctly.

- Speaker Connections: Verify that the speaker connections are secure and that you are using the correct speaker setup for your amplifier.

- Humbucker pickups**: If your guitar has humbucker pickups, ensure they are properly grounded to avoid potential buzzing noises.

- Single Coils**: Single coil pickups can be prone to noise and interference. Use of a noise suppressor with your RP90 can help to minimize any noise.

Always refer to the user manual of your RP90 and consult a qualified technician or Digitech support if the buzzing noise persists or you are unable to resolve the problem on your own.
