Did the witches spell cause birnam wood to creep magically up dunsinane hill?

The answer is no.

In the play "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare, it is not suggested that the witches' spell caused Birnam Wood to creep magically up Dunsinane Hill. Instead, the prophecy given to Macbeth by the witches states that he will only be defeated when Birnam Wood comes to Dunsinane Hill. This prophecy is fulfilled when Malcolm's army, which includes soldiers carrying branches from Birnam Wood, advances towards Macbeth's castle on Dunsinane Hill. It is the strategic use of camouflage, not magic, that enables Malcolm's army to deceive Macbeth and gain an advantage in the battle.
