Who is called the morning star of English poetry?

The English poet Geoffrey Chaucer wrote a number of important narrative poems including the Canterbury Tales. Due to this influence on the history of English language and literature, he has been rightly called the father of English poetry. However, the poet Geoffrey Chaucer has been given the honorary title of the morning star of English poetry.
