Write down a list of the things you want to add in your meditation poem. First, record what your main internal conflict is and any information pertaining to your internal conflict that should be added to the meditative poem. Include the ways in which this internal conflict is affecting your life, the lives of others and your relationship with God.
Write your poem, using your list as a guideline. You don't have to include everything that you wrote down in your list, but do try to include all of the essential information, especially what your main conflict is. You can use symbolism so your problems aren't plainly stated, but expressed using implicit comparisons.
Write your words as though you are writing a poetic letter to God.
Write lines in your poem that use vivid imagery. Imagery can be used to convey emotions and enhance thoughts.
Write about your personal demons. Include everything you have been keeping bottled up and everything that you want to lay before God. Be completely honest about everything.
