Present the poem. The first paragraph of any good poem synopsis should consist of the title and poet of the poem chosen, information on why you chose this particular poem, the connection you have with the poem, how it makes you feel and how you can relate to its content.
Define the theme. The second paragraph should state the theme of the poem, what it is really about, the main idea behind it. Try to identify and mention what the poet is trying to say and do to the reader. Give your interpretation of the poem. What's going on in the poem? Here, try to really create an image in the minds of those reading the synopsis.
Analyze it briefly. In the third and final paragraph, give at least two examples of sensory language skills that you can identify in the poem. Examples of language skills include metaphors, similes, personification and rhyme scheme. Use as many examples as appropriate from the poem.
